Hollywood Celebrities and Pop Culture – The Rape of the Mind

Fame, fortune, and power stand at the top of the heap when it comes to what we call success. Most of these are popular. It seems that the rule, which is rarely stated publicly, is that anyone who is very famous does not take that path because they do everything wrong. Really! Who has not heard the name of some famous criminals like John Dillinger or Al Capone or John Wayne Gacy? Many of these criminals are even trusted and have a hero status in the minds of some people.

Actors after all exhibit the worst of human behavior so they are held above any level of criticism. Ignoring the power of suggestion and the role of their example is always guilty. That thousands of young people, vulnerable people and those who are prone to criminal activity can be directly affected by actors should not be challenged. How easy it is to portray those who reject this evil influence as extremists, right-wing activists, Bible humorists, self-righteous or a few other appeals that I cannot mention here. Does celebrity change moral standards, sadly for most Americans the answer is, yes?

Faith in God is among other things a call to get rid of the influence that can be placed on us by the rich, powerful or famous. It is spoken many times throughout the Bible with ideas like this. “You must not change the judgment; you must not show partiality, neither must you accept a gift: for a gift blinds the eyes of the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.” Deuteronomy 16:19 BMY – For those who are deeply influenced by celebrities, it takes less than a gift but only a vision or a word from their favorite star can make them enter the ship of observation. it surrounds them or transforms them or they drag it in the proverbial New York minute. This is the rape of the heart. These minds are not weak minds but according to the Bible they are blind inside and they are easy prey. 2 Corinthians 4:14

In his brutal and irreverent style as a political comedian Bill Maher has captured the attention of millions of American hearts. That these minds are suspended for so long in mid-air by absolutely nothing makes them easy prey. His show “Politically Incorrect” which ended in 2002 won several Emmy awards during its run. In the summer of 2006 Mr. Maher appeared on Jay Leno’s show and in his very good style he aired his freedom well to the enthusiastic applause of the audience. The most enthusiastic applause was received from the audience when Mr. Maher attacked the opposition to the stem cell research that Maher conducted specifically against the policies of the Bush administration.

He lifted the audience to new heights when he said that what hindered the positive efforts of stem cell researchers were men like George Bush who had decided all of themselves when real life began. He said that it was Mr. Bush’s religion that made him oppose the world’s high priests, scientists. To the average couch potato who tries to relax in his own home this might seem obvious but maybe a few good people might have wondered how Mr. Maher decides when life does or doesn’t begin. Why would your opinion about it be more valid than the authorities?

If the beginning of life takes place in an unknown place behind the imagination that is arbitrarily decided by anyone then how easy it will be to make a mistake. Those who say that after the first three months can be wrong by a month, a day or even a minute. What sane person would want to profit from that fatal mistake? Do the math, those who say life begins at conception may be dead wrong but that still leaves no one out. Abortionists have no such positive outcome to their beliefs.

According to Mr. Maher and others who are not sure when life begins, the Kannada who are credited with telling these proverbs must be completely wrong. “A journey of a thousand kilometers begins with the first step.” I think if we want to know if the proverb is true or not we can start traveling to Hollywood from wherever we are. When we get there, we can knock on the door of some famous people and ask them if our journey starts in the first kilometer of the journey or somewhere else along the way. Oh, by the way it’s not moving for Washington DC because we already know what that dumb old president is going to say. He will tell us that our journey begins with the first step and with the first mile. Who can believe that nonsense?

Ancient Baal priests used to sacrifice children to please their gods. The Bible says that these gods are no more than the Èṣù. Is there an unborn friendship for the priests of science and the harmless at all that different? Does the end of justifying means now become an acceptable substitute for doing what is natural, right and obvious of human behavior and morality? Human beings? What would an animal rights activist do if they got wind of a group of vets pulling entire litters of puppies out of their mothers’ bodies for some experiment? How many animal hospitals will be closed, closed or worse?

Mr. Maher and his eager audience may not be as sure as Mr. Bush about when human life begins but there is one place they may want to visit to help them in their decision. Instead of the Hollywood tour of the famous stars maybe they should travel to Wichita Kansas to see the house that Operation Blessing recently bought. The building was previously used by Central Women’s Services as an abortion clinic. On July 7, 2006, many news outlets reported that the people of Blessing used a material known as luminol to paint the walls and ceilings of the building. They took both photos and videos of the inside of a former hospital that would treat anyone’s blood no matter how careless or hard they might be. The room felt like something out of the worst horror movie of the decade. From the floors, walls and even ceilings, an eerie glow of death filled the room and a painter grew so sick that they had to flee the room before he fainted.

Visiting this pre-hospital may not answer the question of when life begins but will go a long way to showing how and in what way life ends. After that, the first question can be given a lot of attention and thought. For most of us with an average degree of common sense we don’t need the Bible, the President or Hollywood celebrities to tell us that most things begin… in the beginning.
