Science Fair Project on Testing Drinking Water

You are smart enough to know that the purpose of many science projects is to teach students how to use scientific methods to solve problems on their own. A science fair project can allow students, parents, and teachers to make new discoveries together. One of those discoveries may be how clean your drinking water is.

Students may expect faucet water to be clean, but is it? A science project on drinking water testing can help them learn what’s in the water they use. This process will help them and you test drinking water.

Say Your Meaning

A good example might be, “If I were to test drinking water from different sources, which would I find best for my health?” A bad example would be, “If I drink tap water, what happens?”

Background research

Learn all you can about what water can contain. Investigate the effects of various contaminants, minerals, etc.

Develop a Drinking Water Test

What type of drinking water test will you use? What type of drinking water will you test? Will you be purchasing a kit, or simply ordering the appropriate test kits? How will you get the water to make sure you don’t change the content?

What You Need for Drinking Water Tests

Students will need colorimetric test strips for most drinking water tests. Materials are available from reputable scientific websites. The Safe Drinking Water Test is an EPA standard, simple clinical tool that identifies harmful levels of 8 different common contaminants in water: bacteria, chlorine, lead, nitrates, nitrites, pesticides, pH , and water hardness.

Predictive results

Write a prediction of what you expect. Is the tap water in your city the best water for your health? Should your family pay to drink only bottled water? What do you predict your drinking water test will reveal?

Get Your Drinking Water Tested

Students can choose from a variety of drinking water tests. Here are a few possible tests. Younger students may prefer to use one. Older students can combine a series of drinking water tests.

1. Basic: A basic drinking water test allows students to test water for alkalinity, chlorine (both free and total), salt and nitrite, pH, and water hardness. What is the basic composition of your water?

2. Bacteria: Along with basic drinking water testing, you can test for bacteria in the water. Water from a drinking fountain can show bacteria that get on the bubbler and wash into the water.

3. City Water: What is in city drinking water? You can use the basic drinking water tests above, but check, too, for metals and sediment. Are broken pipes contaminating the water?

4. Well Water: Since the government does not test private wells, there may be insects in the water they collect from them. What can you see? Would you expect more or less sediment? Can your drinking water be tested for pesticides if the well is near a farm or garden where they are used?

5. Bottled Water: Is bottled water really clean? Is it better than tap water or worse? Run a drinking water test on it and see what you find.

6. Water Conservator: If your water conservator is typical, a large five-gallon bottle is turned down into a drinking water container. Can there be germs on the top of the bottle? Will a drinking water test show these germs?

7. Pet Water: Pet water tests will show you what your pet’s water contains. The pet’s urine should not be cleaned immediately before the test. Allowing your pet to drink from it will show whether or not the water is still clean enough for humans.

Repeat Your Drinking Water Test

A good scientist repeats the tests to make sure the results are the same. You will not get accurate results if you test your drinking water only once.

Analyze

Analyze the results of your tests. Which water is the cleanest? Which one tastes better, looks better, and smells better? From your analysis, do you think your prediction will hold?

Arrive at the End

Draw conclusions from your drinking water test. Look at all the evidence and decide what it means in regards to healthy drinking water.

1. Which water contains the least contaminants?

2. Which water has the least bacteria?

3. Which water is best for your health?

Prepare Your Presentation

Decide early on how the show will look and leave plenty of time to finish. Will you have photos? Will you have clean glasses containing water samples? How would you present the test strips used?

Most science fair projects require a presentation board to communicate your work to others. A three-piece display that is 36″ high by 48″ wide when unfolded is compact. On your board, add the following elements.

1. Title: Make it catchy – and big enough to read across a room.

2. Research and study: Organize your information from top to bottom, left to right, as if you were planning a magazine page. Add Meaning and research information to the left side of your board.

3. Materials and instructions: Put this information under your title in the middle of the board.

4. Data / Diagrams / Photos: These go down the middle part of your board.

5. Results and conclusions: The right side of your panel contains the final information about your drinking water test.

A science fair project on drinking water testing can be fun and interesting, suitable for any age student. The results can surprise everyone.

Add Animation Effects To Your Powerpoint Presentation On A Essential Dos and Don’ts When Designing PowerPoint Slides

You are searching about Add Animation Effects To Your Powerpoint Presentation On A, today we will share with you article about Add Animation Effects To Your Powerpoint Presentation On A was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic Add Animation Effects To Your Powerpoint Presentation On A is useful to you.

Essential Dos and Don’ts When Designing PowerPoint Slides

When used correctly, PowerPoint 2007 is a powerful tool that can help you create professional presentations. However, it’s good to remind ourselves of the dos and don’ts when creating photos.

Get the point

Try not to put too much text on your PowerPoint slides. It is not a good idea to use a lot of text on many lines; this makes your images look narrow, and difficult to follow. If you have a lot of words on the slide, there is a danger that you will start reading from the screen instead of communicating with your audience. This makes it difficult to engage with them or interact with them.

Don’t make your audience read the slides instead of listening to what you have to say. Slides should support your content – not tell everything for you. The text on the images should be used as a warning or to save your messages. Try not to exceed two lines per point. A good rule of thumb is that if a sentence has too many punctuation marks, you are probably trying to say too much. Make sure there is plenty of white space on your images, so the text doesn’t look cramped or crowded.

Special effects

Don’t distract your audience by having words and images appear from the left, right, top, bottom and diagonally across the slide. When used sparingly, PowerPoint animations can be very effective. Use the odd animation, but think about whether your presentation really needs it. Stick to simple styles to convey your message and maintain the same effect throughout your presentation.

Color codes

Your videos will be hard to read if you use too many colors, and they will look smaller. Choose a background color that is easy to see, and make sure your text is distinct. Dark colors on a light base work well. PowerPoint 2007 has tools to make sure you always choose the right colors to create a professional look.

Text size

Make sure that the size of your slide headings does not just add up to the rest of your text. Do not use capital letters (eg 72 points) with lowercase letters (eg 20 points), as it will look contradictory. At the same time, you need to make sure that your text is big enough to read on the screen – think about the people who are looking at the back of the room. The principle of size 20 or more is a good size to ensure that your audience can read comfortably, and the headings are placed on a larger scale.

Good use of images

If you use pictures, make sure they are relevant to the point you are trying to make and don’t place the pictures on the slide so they cover everything else. Use the company logo, if possible, placed in the same place on each slide to create flow and continuity.

Changing slides

Don’t make your audience uncomfortable by choosing too many different styles to move from slide to slide – especially if you choose a different style each time. For the default display, use the subtle and subtle transitions. Image editing mode should be used if you want to make a point.

Is your layout clear?

Choose one style for each image, such as a large header with bullets at the bottom – it’s easy to read and follow. Take advantage of the Themes and Quick Styles available in PowerPoint 2007 to ensure that there is a visual management that is compatible with the color and face type.

Don’t get carried away – look at your slide show to make sure you know what’s at the end of each slide.

Charts, graphs and pictures

Use the PowerPoint tool to add charts, graphs and pictures to your presentations, but keep them to the point and to the point. The SmartArt tool can be used to help convey complex information in a simple, easy-to-understand way. It’s a good idea to make sure that these things are properly labeled so that people understand their importance.

Finally, when it comes to charts and graphs, don’t try to overwhelm your audience with complex images; make sure you can also explain what the data means.

5 Things A Man Needs Before A Woman Animated What Your Profile Picture Says About You

You are searching about 5 Things A Man Needs Before A Woman Animated, today we will share with you article about 5 Things A Man Needs Before A Woman Animated was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic 5 Things A Man Needs Before A Woman Animated is useful to you.

What Your Profile Picture Says About You

Your profile picture is the first impression you give to the world and the one you choose says a lot about you, whether you know it or not. I’ve been spending a lot of time on social networking sites, like Facebook and Twitter lately, and I’ve noticed a few things when it comes to profile pictures.

If you are on Facebook for the sole purpose of connecting with family and friends, then your primary concern should be that others may recognize you in your photos.

However, if you are on Facebook for business purposes, you need to consider many other factors. Your profile photo shapes how people see you, so you must always keep that in mind when deciding which profile picture to upload.

1) The smile directly in the photo camera: I’m starting the list with my absolute favorite profile picture type. When people appear as if they are looking directly at you while still smiling, it speaks volumes. This type of photo makes people believe that you are confident, outgoing and happy. It makes people feel like they can connect with you and even more than that – it makes people want to connect with you.

2) Photo of ID part: Whether it’s your hair, ears, feet or legs, photos involving a certain body part can mean a few different things. Maybe you have really amazing toes, your face isn’t all that attractive or maybe you just like being mysterious. Either way, know that when people can’t actually see your face it will make them wonder why.

3) The embarrassing photo: Thankfully, I don’t see this often, but whenever I do I’m always thrown off. The embarrassing photo is the one that leaves you in awe of people every time you see it. This is the profile photo that makes you ask yourself, “Why would they post this?!” Having an embarrassing photo as your main profile picture makes people question your common sense and sanity.

4) Photo of a Celebrity: I am always curious as to why someone would choose to use a profile picture up of a celebrity instead of a photo of themselves. Do they really love that person so much that they forgo their right to show the world what they are like or do they just want people to somehow associate them with that special celebrity? I get it on Doppelganger week, but using a celebrity as your main profile photo at any other time is weird and a little creepy.

5) The photo ID: We have ALL seen this one. A profile picture of something completely random, like a cartoon or a pair of running socks, that you don’t even know what to say about it. Having a random photo as your default image leaves people unsure of what to think of you.

6) Company Logo: When people use their company logo as their main profile picture it means that the main reason they are a member of that social community is to connect with other professionals. If you’re just trying to network however, it’s always a good idea to allow people to put a face to the company’s name. So having professional photos of yourself taken and uploading them to Facebook, is definitely not the worst idea if your goal is to appear professional and make connections.

7) Photo of your Kids: Choosing to set your main profile photo as one of your children instead of yourself shows that you are on Facebook to connect with family and friends more than anything else. If this is not the case, you should save the family pictures for Christmas cards and photo albums and instead upload a photo that shows who you are.

9) Dog / Cat / Fish / Other ID pet photo: This, for me, is the worst reason. It’s good that you love your pets, but posting photos of your four dogs only makes it seem like you don’t have much of a life. Yes, photos of your cats sleeping on your bed and your birds eating an ice cream cone are very cute, but they don’t make the best profile pictures. Choose a profile picture that shows your best side, not your animals.

10) The Novel Profile Photo: Mysterious default image is one that only shows half of your face, so it makes you look a bit mysterious. Setting a novel image as your first image generally makes people curious to find out more about you.

11) Photo where Other People are cut in public: We’ve all seen poorly cropped photos that allow you to see the hands or shoulders of missing people. I always feel bad for the person who gets cropped out of the photo because even though you take the time to take a photo next to them, you also take the time to crop them out which says a lot. Photos that cut other people out of them make the world wonder what the story behind the photo is. Is the cropped out person an ex-lover? An old friend? Who is missing?!

Other things to consider when choosing a profile picture:

1) Origin: Photos that have alcohol in them, even if it’s ‘just a beer’ will make people see you as less professional. If you’re not trying to be professional then by all means, upload a picture of you and your friends taking shots or playing beer pong. But if you want to establish a more professional presence online, definitely avoid photos that have alcohol in them or seem to be taken in a group.

2) Color: The color you show in your profile picture really says a lot about you. A small chest or leg does not hurt anyone but guys– posting photos of yourself in the bathroom mirror, shirtless on SO MySpace and you really need to stop. We had girl– those photos in a swimsuit or even worse, a bra, don’t say much about you besides the fact that you want to get complete strangers to see you naked. It usually appears pretty desperate and is definitely unprofessional. Is that the advice you want to give the world? Think about this before posting.

3) What kind of face do you have? The attitude you present to the world is also a big factor to consider. Are you smiling? Did he look away? Do you make kissy faces? Did he tell the world to get rid of it? What it actually is is doing Your first profile picture says a lot about you so make sure you consider that when uploading a new profile photo.

Bottom line:

Your profile picture on social networking sites is exposed to the world. Think about the main reasons you are on Facebook, Twitter or any other social media for that matter and then choose your profile picture accordingly.

Which category does it fall under?! If you’re not sure, leave a comment with your Facebook link and I’ll let you know what I think your profile picture says about you! 🙂

Akqays Wash Your Hands After Touching A Dirty Animal Turtles As Pets

You are searching about Akqays Wash Your Hands After Touching A Dirty Animal, today we will share with you article about Akqays Wash Your Hands After Touching A Dirty Animal was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic Akqays Wash Your Hands After Touching A Dirty Animal is useful to you.

Turtles As Pets

Despite popular belief, turtles are not cheap pets, take a lot of commitment and time and can be very expensive to care for. However, they are fun and interesting pets that will be with you for years to come.

Those who consider turtles should remember that with long-term commitment, turtles can live 50-100 years. Turtles must have ultraviolet light – this can be done through the sun or using special lamps for reptiles. Most turtles grow very large and need a tank or pen to accommodate this size. They need not only commercial turtle food but also fruits and vegetables. Turtles, especially sea turtles, tend to smell and get dirty very quickly, regular cleaning is necessary and large sea turtle aquariums can be quite expensive. Turtles, especially small turtles, carry salmonella which can make you sick, so washing your hands thoroughly is important when handling them. Tortoises are not a good choice for a children’s pet because not only do they pose a health risk, they are very difficult to handle and they can bite easily.

The most common turtle is the red-eared terrapin. Russian turtles, box turtles, painted turtles and mud turtles. Red-eared sliders and painted turtles mate and are both aquatic. The Slider is probably the most commonly found in pet stores and is one of the most popular. Sliders can grow quite large, up to 11 inches, which means they will eventually need a larger tank. Both sliders are omnivores, so they need fresh meat and vegetables. They can feed the turtles food, as well as other fresh foods, such as goldfish, raw fish such as shrimp, fresh lettuce and other vegetables. Painted turtles are more robust than most turtles with colorful markings on their shells and yellow and red stripes down their necks and legs. They can grow up to 10 inches. Compared to other turtles, sea turtles are more complex and time-consuming due to their unique environmental needs.

Box turtles are another very popular type of pet turtle. In the wild they live in humid environments and this environment has to be recreated for them in their cage. These turtles are also omnivores and eat a variety of foods from insects, lettuce, fruits and vegetables and other fresh fruits. The Turtle Box lives on land and the outdoor pen works wonders for them. The pen should have a sunny spot to shoot in and some shade to rest in. During the winter they dig in the mud and hibernate.

Mud turtles are very small, no larger than five inches, and live in muddy or sandy habitats. It can be stored inside or outside. Inside, they must have a large tank to accommodate their environment. Outside, a pen with mud and covered surfaces works well. Like the box turtle, they also hibernate if kept outdoors. They are also omnivores and eat much like the box turtle. Mud turtles make excellent pets.

The Russian tortoise is the smallest of the tortoises, only reaching 10 inches. A herbivore, it eats grasses, fruits and a variety of vegetables. They are happy outside but can be kept inside if necessary. They want a large playpen that has something on the floor to drill into, they also enjoy having things to climb on. They also sleep outside if they stay outside during the winter.

Turtles take dedication but they are such beautiful and amazing creatures that for most people it is worth the effort. Land turtles are easier and cheaper to care for than sea turtles and turtles that are kept outdoors are easier to care for because they don’t have the odor problem that indoor turtles often have. Care should always be taken with the turtles, especially when the children are outside, as they have only a few predators.

5 Reasons Why We Should Bring Back Extinct Animals Mount Popa/Taung Kalat, Burma’s Mt. Olympus

You are searching about 5 Reasons Why We Should Bring Back Extinct Animals, today we will share with you article about 5 Reasons Why We Should Bring Back Extinct Animals was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic 5 Reasons Why We Should Bring Back Extinct Animals is useful to you.

Mount Popa/Taung Kalat, Burma’s Mt. Olympus

If you want to visit one of the really fascinating places Burma has to offer Taung Kalat/Mount Popa in central Burma is the place to go. Alas, it is not anymore as much off the beaten track as it was 20, 15, or even 10 years ago, but still unique with a charm all its own. And when I say unique I mean this in the truest sense of the word. Something like this you will not find anywhere else.

Mount Popa is an extinct volcano nearly 5.000 feet/1.520 metre in height. It is located at the northern end of the Pegu Mountains – southeast of Bagan – in Kyaukpadaung Township, Mandalay Division and covered with forest a part of which is only recently grown. The name Popa is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Puppa’ what means flower. Subsequently, Mt. Popa means Mountain of Flowers or Flower Mountain.

Taung Kalat’s history began 554 B.C. when the volcano Mount Popa erupted for the last time. With an ear-splitting bang a basalt rock of gigantic dimensions separated itself from Mt. Popa. The piece came with a mighty thud to rest upside down after flying through the air for roughly 4.5 kilometres/2.8 miles in south-western direction. It is a solitary basalt peak of conical shape rising 737 metres/2.417 ft high into the sky. Its name: Taung Kalat.

Taung Kalat is located some 7 miles/11 kilometres north-east of Kyaukpadaung and 50 kilometre/31 miles south-east of Bagan. So, when you are in Bagan do not miss to visit Taung Kalat/Mt. Popa. The monastery of Taung Kalat situated on top of the rock formation is one of Burma’s most spectacular and sacred pilgrimage sites.

For the Burmese Taung Kalat is all about nats (spirits), their supernatural powers, offering and worshipping. These powerful nats can make or break your life depending on how much you believe in them and whether and how much they like you or not.

Legend has it that King Anawrahta of Pagan (1044-1077 A.D.) had a fast-runner by the name of Byatta (a former seaman of Indian descent from Thaton) who had to fetch fresh flowers for Anawrahta’s palace from Popa several times daily. One day Byatta fell in love with Mai Wunna, the Lady of Flowers, a beautiful flower-eating ogress of Popa. Unfortunately, this was something he had, finally, to pay with his life for because he increasingly neglected his duties over his relationship with Mai Wunna and was therefore executed by Anawrahta.

Byatta and Mai Wunna became a couple and had soon two sons named Shwe Phyin Gyi (Big Gold Pot) and Shwe Phyin Ngai (Small Gold Pot). These ‘shiny’ names they were given because King Anawrahta gave his fast-runner two gold pots for washing the afterbirth of the babies – a big one for the older baby and a small one for the younger (baby). But the two brothers grew up into wild, irresponsible young men who were eventually put to death for neglect of duty at the construction of a pagoda. There are however people who maintain that the two brothers were victims of a palace intrigue because Mandalay Bodaw the brother’s adviser did not inform them that each of them had to offer one brick for the construction of the Taungbyon Pagoda. When Anawrahta found out about this Mandalay Bodaw was put to death and became the nat ‘Lord grandfather of Mandalay’.

Whatever the reason for the Shwe Phyin Brothers’ being executed might have been, you need not feel sorry for the them because they have as the ‘brother nats’ become objects of worship to a lot of people. Most of them keep in their shrine rooms a tray with a coconut, one or two hands of bananas, a strip or two of red cloth and a few other accessories as offerings to the two brothers. Annual Festivals (nat pwes) are also held in their honour at several places in Burma. The most famous Nat festivals are the Popa/Taung Kalat and the Taungbyon Nat festival; other festivals are held in e.g. Pyay and Bago. Taungbyon is located 30 miles north of Mandalay. To take part in the festivals is a must for those who want to experience the very special feeling created by the ambience of a nat pwe and properly study spirit-worship in Burma. The Shwe Phyin Brothers’ rise in status did of course also raise their mother’s (Mai Wunna) status. She is worshipped as the Queen Mother of Popa.

But there is a domestic spirit who is senior even to them. His name is Pabe Maung Tint Dai – Mr. Handsome – the blacksmith. He lived in the age of Tagaung a long time before Anawrahta’s Bagan came into being. He was physically so strong that even the King feared for his own safety and played a ruse to get rid of the strong man. He made one of Maung Tint Dai’s sisters – Daw Saw Me Ya a.k.a. Shwe Myetnha, ‘Golden Face’ – a queen and sent for him promising rich rewards that a royal brother-in-law deserved. When the unsuspecting blacksmith arrived at the royal city he was promptly captured, tied to a golden champa tree (Magnolia champaca, in Sanskrit champica) and burnt to death. When his sister, the queen, saw what happened, she also jumped into the fire and laid down her life at the side of her brother.

Their spirits resided from then on in that champa tree and hexed the people and animals that came under it. At last, the King did not see any other way than to have the tree uprooted and thrown into the Ayeyawaddy River. The tree drifted slowly southwards down the river and got to Bagan during the reign of king Thinlegyaung.

As soon as king Thinlegyaung received the message about the tree he had it salvaged and the trunk sculpted into the figures of the unfortunate brother and sister by his master wood carvers. Once the statues were completed the king enshrined them at Taung Kalat and from then on he visited Taung Kalat/Popa with his retinue once a year to pay his respects to the two spirits. That was how Mt. Popa/Taung Kalat came to be the undisputed centre of nat (spirit) worship in Burma.

The blacksmith Pabe Maung Tint Dai a.k.a. Mr. Handsome, is since being enshrined with his sister on top of Taung Kalat ruling Mt. Popa and Taung Kalat. He is bearing the title ‘ Domestic Lord of the Great Mountain’ and worshipped by many households all over the country. However, worshippers never offer candlelight to him out of consideration for the way he met his tragic end long ago; they are convinced that he does not want to have anything to do with fire anymore.

Besides being the centre of nat or spirit worship in Burma, Mt. Popa is worth a visit for another rather unexpected, but very important reason – it is since about 25 years shaping up as a battle-station in the fight against environmental decay, which is threatening to engulf our mother earth in the near future.

Mt. Popa lies smack in the centre of the Burma’s dry belt, a region well-known for its scanty rainfall and scarcity of water. The result is that it is surrounded by vast areas of semi-desert, which are expanding continuously and are threatening to develop into full-blown deserts if nothing is done against it. Hence, the with trees covered Mt. Popa is an oasis in the desert-like central Burma; a green highland amid yellowish-brown plains and stronghold against desertification. In 1991 I was told that 99 springs were once here but that many of them had dried up due to deforestation. However, some of them are re-vitalised since an area of 49.63 square miles (129 square km) has been designated as Popa Mountain National Park in 1989.

Standing out like an emerald on a gold setting, Mt. Popa has inspired feelings of awe and romance since time immemorial. One of the earliest extant Burmese poems which are very small in number is a very beautiful one dealing with it. The mountain was generally held in great respect by the people even before the advent of the Domestic-Lord-of-the-Great-Mountain and the Shwe-Phyin-Brothers as it has been believed to be a special abode of nats and a haunt of other supernatural beings like Weizzars and Zawgyis. The Burmese still say: “Love the Buddha, fear the nats.”

You are heartily invited to climb with me the 777 steps up to the holy grail of Burmese nat worshipper on top of the platform. Let us go.

769 puff, 770 puff, 771 puff, 772 puff, 773 puff, 774 puff, 775 puff, 776 puff, 777 puff; after 30 minutes uphill we have climbed the last step and have, finally, made it up to the summit.

Beginning at the main entrance with two lion-like mythical creatures (chinthes) that are guarding it and then climbing the partly pretty steep stairs leading up to the Taung Kalat temples and pagodas situated right at the mountain’s top we have passed countless shops lining the steps. They are selling e.g. clothing, wood carvings, Tanaka, fruits, monkey food, flowers and souvenirs of all kind. One of their main articles are Zagawa (yellow magnolia) blossoms in clear glass bottles of different sizes in which the yellow blossoms are preserved with ‘Popa water’. It is said that this water is preserving the blossoms eternally and this might be true because my bottled Zagawa blossoms are looking (after removing the dust from the bottle) still fresh after more than two decades.

And all the way up we were accompanied by Popa monkeys. We were lucky because I was warned from my previous visits. That’s why we did not try to hand-feed them (like the people who are living here do because the monkeys know them well), had our shoulder bags (in which we had put our hats) closed and have kept safe distance so they did not steal anything from us and did not injure us.

These monkeys are Macaques (old world monkeys) that constitute a genus ‘Macaca’ of the subfamily ‘Cercopithecinae’. No one should ever forget that they are still almost wild animals, just enjoying getting easy food but are otherwise as unpredictable and dangerous as their wild-roaming fellow-macaques; especially when they are carrying babies. If you are not careful they are stealing everything from you that is not firmly fixed; from things that are hanging out of your pockets, baskets, shoulder backs, etc. to hats, caps, cameras, food items that your are holding in your hands, or sun glasses or glasses. If you try to hold on to your possessions they may fight you; you better let go of them. They are extremely fast and cheeky. Do not underestimate them ever.

Having arrived at the top we are now ready to visit and see the impressive small temples’ and pagodas’ exterior as well as interior while strolling along the narrow walking passages. There are to see the Popa main pagoda, other larger pagodas, mini pagodas/stupas, shrines of several sizes and of course the Taung Kalat monastery. Also the great Min Mahagiri Offering Hall with the 37 nats (spirits), the Mt. Popa Bo Min Khaung Statue, the Mt. Popa bronze bells and several beautiful Buddha images made of marble and bronze (gold?).

The 37 nats we can see here are:

1. Thagyamin, Indra or Sakra (King of Nats), 2. Min Mahagiri, Maung Tin Dai, ‘Mr. Handsome’ (Lord of the Great Mountain), 3. Hna ma daw gyi, Saw Me Ya, Shwe Myetnha ‘Golden Face’ (Great Royal Sister of Mahagiri), 4. Byatta (The Royal Messenger to Anawrahta) 5. Mai Wunna (Popa Medaw, Queen Mother of Popa). 6. Shwe Nabe (Lady with Golden Sides, Maung Tin Dai’s wife?), 7. Thon Ban Hla, (Lady Beautiful In Three Ways, Maung Tin Dai’s younger sister?), 8. Taungoo Mingaung (Governor of Toungoo), 9. Mintara (King Hsinbyushin, King of Innwa), 10. Thandawgan (The Royal Messenger to Taungoo Minkaung), 11. Shwe Nawrahta (The young prince drowned by King Shwenankyawshin), 12. Aung Zaw Ma Gyi (Lord of the White Horse), 13. Ngazi Shin (King of Pinya (1343-1350 A.D.), Lord of the five white elephants), 14. Aungbinle Hsinbyushin (Lord of the white elephant from Aungbinle), 15. Taungmagyi (Lord of Due South), 16. Maung Minshin (Lord of the North), 17. Shindaw (Lord Novice of Innwa), 18. Nyaung-gyin (Old man of the Banyan tree), 19. Tabinshwehti (King of Burma between 1531-50 A.D.), 20. Shwe Sit Thin (Prince, son of Saw Hnit), 21. Medaw Shwedaw (Lady Golden Words), 22. Maung Po Tu (Shan Tea Merchant), 23. Yun Bayin (King of Chiang Mai, King of the Yun), 24. Mandalay Bodaw (Lord grandfather of Mandalay), 25. Shwebyin Naungdaw (Elder Brother Inferior Gold), 26. Shwebyin Nyidaw (Younger Brother Inferior Gold), 27. Mintha Maungshin (Grandson of King Alaung Sithu), 28. Htibyusaung (Lord of the White Umbrella, Anawrahta’s father), 29. Htibyusaung Medaw (Lady of the White Umbrella, Anawrahta’s grandmother), 30. Pareinma Shin Mingaung (The Usurper Mingaung), 31. Min Sithu (King Alaung Sithu), 32. Min Kyawzwa, U Min Kyaw, Ko Gyi Kyaw (Prince Kyawzwa), 33. Myaukpet Shinma (Lady of the North), 34. Anauk Mibaya (Queen of the Western Palace, King Kyanzittha’s wife), 35. Shingon (Lady Humpback), 36. Shigwa (Lady Bandy-legs, sister of Mandalay Bodaw), 37. Shin Mi Hne (Little lady with the flute).

However, out of the 37 nats that are displayed here only four, namely U Maung Tin Dai, Lord of the Great Mountain (Mr. Handsome), Daw Saw Me Ya (Sister Golden Face), Byatta and Mai Wunna (Popa Medaw) have their official place of residence on top of Taung Kalat.

And there is, last but not least, the breath-taking view from the top of Taung Kalat on the surrounding area. Since the weather is good today we can see behind Bagan the Yoma Mountain range stretching from north to south along the Ayeyawaddy River.

Before we leave the temple platform I want to tell you who Bo Min Khaung, the small statue of a man on a horse we have just passed on our way out, was or better is. I say, “who he is” and not “who he was”, because the Burmese people deem him a holy man and do strongly believe that he is still alive and on his way to Enlightenment. The state of enlightenment he has so far refused to attain because he wants to live as long as it takes that Arein Madeiya, the new Buddha also called Meitreya comes. Bo Min Khaung used to be a human being just like we are but actually he was not simply a man; he was a Weizzar and worshipped in many Burmese homes. These Weizzars have supernatural powers. What this means to Burmese people may become clear when you understand that the term ‘Weizzar’ means in Pali wisdom. Weizzars, so it is believed, can fly in the air, dive into the earth, walk on water, create multiple bodies, be at many places at the same time, hear sounds that are very far away, can see things that are far, far away or very, very small, read other peoples’ minds, see matters as they really are and not as they seem to be, materialise things out of thin air, and so on. There are people who say that they were told about Bo Min Khaung by people that were close to them (such as their fathers, elder brothers or teachers) who claimed to have personally met him (Bo Min Khaung). Well, to me (not being overly superstitious and/or animist) all of this seems to be somewhat strange but be that as it may, now you know who Bo Min Khaung is.

By the by, Popa also played an important role in the history of Burma as well as in the history and presence of hermits and Ari monks. They were extremely powerful, great exponents of alchemy and magic; worshipped nats and represented a mixture of Animism and Buddhism called Ari Buddhism. However, the form of Buddhism they preached and practised has virtually nothing to do with what is widely known and practised as Buddhism in all its various forms.

I hope you have enjoyed our Taung Kalat/Mt. Popa excursion; I, for one, did.

Akqays Wash Your Hands After Touching A Dirty Animal Parrot Care: The Step By Step Process

Parrot Care: The Step By Step Process

The many different varieties that parrots come in is one of the main reasons they are so popular. These birds are very intelligent and beautiful. Caring for parrots is a simple process that needs to be done seriously in order to have a lively and healthy bird.

Caring for parrots involves finding the type of parrot, or types, that you have. The diets of these animals are similar in many ways, such as that they must all eat fresh fruits and vegetables. However, most parrot foods usually contain parrot seeds or parrot paper. In order for this bird to live long, it needs a lot of nutritious food. Water is also important, so you should always fill your pet’s water tank with fresh and clean water.

A clean environment is the most important factor in having a healthy pet. Parrots are very different then most animals, they are not dirty. They like to clean themselves and live in a very clean cage.

To clean the parrot’s cage, do not spray it because ammonia can irritate the parrot. Soap and water work well. Also, make sure there are no sharp objects in your pet’s cage, as they can cut themselves there.

Since these animals are hygienic, always make sure you wash your hands before handling or touching them. You don’t want any pathogens to get to the bird. Some studies show that human saliva can also harm parrots, so keep it away from your face.

Finding a parrot cage is an easy task if you know what to look for. This animal needs a large enclosure to spread its wings and enjoy parrot toys.

The secret to a parrot’s long life is in the hands of its owner. These birds can live up to 60 years if you take the time and responsibility to make this a big part of your daily life. This is a big commitment, and your parrot should not be treated as a pet. They are part of your family and you want to spend time with all your family members and yourself. Try to keep your bird around people as much as possible, and it will become friendly.

The condition of your bird’s cage should always be clean. Her nails and lips should be trimmed anew every month. Nails and lips grow continuously, so you have to keep up with them.

An angry bird can catch its beak or claws on something in the cage and cause serious injury. Wings can also be clipped if you don’t want your bird to fly.

Another thing you should do is to bathe your parrot every day. This is a major part of parrot care. A fresh, clean bath will keep your bird healthy.

5 Reasons Why Animals Should Not Be In Circuses Poodles – One of the World’s Smartest Breeds

You are searching about 5 Reasons Why Animals Should Not Be In Circuses, today we will share with you article about 5 Reasons Why Animals Should Not Be In Circuses was compiled and edited by our team from many sources on the internet. Hope this article on the topic 5 Reasons Why Animals Should Not Be In Circuses is useful to you.

Poodles – One of the World’s Smartest Breeds

Come with me as I take a look at the Wonderful World of Poodles.

History

Although the national breed of France, the Poodle actually originated in Germany where it was used as a water retriever. Many believe the name “Pudel” comes from the German word “pudel” which means “one who plays in water.”

In fact, the famous “Poodle Clip” was created by hunters to help the breed swim faster and more efficiently. The clip was not created as a decorative element. It was created to protect certain vital organs and joints of the breed in cold water.

The term “French Poodle” comes from France’s capitalization of the breed’s intelligence, trainability and eagerness to perform. The French turned poodles into popular circus performers where they gained notoriety and became Louis XVI and Queen Anne’s court favorites. They have long since been associated with royalty. Even America’s President, Grover Cleveland, owned a poodle.

The Standard Poodle, the largest of the three recognized varieties, is the oldest of the breed. All of the poodle’s ancestors were water dogs known for their swimming abilities.

Characteristics

The poodle is the only breed that comes in three AKC registered varieties. The three recognized types are the Standard Poodle, the Miniature Poodle and the Toy Poodle. The Standard is the tallest, measuring over 15 inches. The Miniature is 15 inches or under, but a minimum of 10 inches. The Toy is under 10 inches.

The breed comes in a variety of solid colors, including white, black, apricot and gray.

The Poodle is an exceptionally intelligent dog that excels in obedience training. Its intelligence and ability to learn makes it one of the most popular breeds in the world. It is considered one of the easiest breeds to train. Also, its hypoallergenic coat makes it a favorite amongst owners. It does not shed, but does require grooming on a regular basis. The breed adapts well to any living conditions, making it an ideal pet for apartments. However, it is an active dog and does require daily exercise.

The Poodle carries itself proudly and has a very distinct air of dignity. The word “elegant” is most often used to describe the breed. The Poodle is known to be shy, but sharp at the same time. Poodles are reserved with strangers and unless trained at an early age, can bark excessively.

The Standard Poodle (Caniche, Barbone, Chien Canne)

The Standard Poodle is considered to be a large dog of high intelligence and trainability. Elegant, strong and good natured, it makes an excellent family dog. It has a thick, soft, curly coat that does not shed but requires daily grooming. The ears are wide and hang close to the head. The eyes are very dark and alert. The feet are compact and the breed has an effortless and delightful gait (like walking on air.)

The Standard Poodle is pleasant, happy and generally easy to maintain. It is a loyal companion but unlike the Miniature and Toy varieties of the breed, can be less sensitive to its surroundings and does not bond to one owner or one household as much. It is considered the calmer of the Poodle varieties. Standard Poodles are friendly and excellent with children and other dogs.

Height: 15 inches

Weight: 45-70 pounds

Life Expectancy: 12-15 years

The Standard Poodle is inactive indoors and even a small yard is acceptable. However they do require daily walks. They are not overly demanding but their temperament is based on their living conditions.

This is a long lived breed but it is subject to certain genetic diseases like most dogs. Cataracts, skin conditions (from allergies to certain shampoos,) hip dysplasia, runny nose and ear infections are common. Also, the breed is subject to bloating, so only feed it two to three small meals a day instead of one or two large meals.

The Miniature Poodle (Caniche)

The Miniature Poodle is considered to be a medium dog of high intelligence and trainability. More cheerful and playful than the Standard variety of poodle, it has a thick, soft, curly coat that does not shed but requires daily grooming. The ears are wide and hang close to the head. The eyes are very dark and alert. The feet are compact and the breed has a spunky gait.

The Miniature Poodle is an amusing, often curious dog. It is a loyal companion that insists on being included in all of its owner’s activities. It can learn tricks effortlessly. It is considered less calm than the Standard Poodle, but not as feisty as the Toy Poodle. Most Miniature Poodles love children and other dogs but they will exhibit jealous tendencies and can display sharp reactions. They can be over playful and must be trained early on that there is a limit to play time. Overall, they are friendly and make excellent pets.

Height: 11-15 inches

Weight: 15-17 pounds

Life Expectancy: 12-15 years

The Miniature Poodle is a good dog for apartment life. They are active indoors but do fine without a yard.

The Toy Poodle (Caniche, Chien Canne, Tea Cup)

The Toy Poodle is considered to be a small dog of high intelligence and trainability. More sensitive than the Standard and Toy varieties, it is also considered the smartest of the three. It has a thick, soft, curly coat that does not shed but requires daily grooming. The ears are small and long and hang close to the head. The eyes are very dark and alert. The feet are compact and the breed has a perfect gait.

The Toy Poodle is sensitive but extremely intelligent. They are very responsive and alert. They can be a delight, but also demanding. They do not like strangers and are reserved around children and other dogs. They are known to snap if they are teased, surprised or mishandled.

They generally bond with one owner for life and they are extremely loyal to that individual and will defend them at all cost, despite their size. However, a true “lap dog,” the Toy Poodle expects an equal amount of loyalty and love in return. They adapt better to one dog households and do not do well with small children. The Toy Poodle is considered the least calm of the three poodle varieties.

Height: up to 10 inches

Weight: 3-8 pounds

Life Expectancy: 12-15 years

The Toy Poodle is a good dog for apartment life. They adapt very well to “city life.” They require little indoor or outdoor activities but nonetheless, should be socialized with a daily walk. They are demanding dogs and can bark excessively if left alone for long periods of time.

Choosing Your Poodle

Never is it more essential to choose a responsible and well-respected breeder than when choosing a Poodle Puppy.

As you’ve already learned from reading this article, dogs come in many different colors, sizes and TEMPERAMENTS!

Poodles especially fall into this category. You can end up with a great pet or a nightmare. Fortunately, with a little bit of research and homework ahead of time, you’ll minimize the risk of a difficult pet and maximize your chances of a truly wonderful new companion.

I recommend everyone get the definitive guide to choosing a dog breed. This book will help you make the right choice. It was written by Marcel Cobs, very well respected in the industry. A dog is a companion for life. Making sure you choose the right breed should be step one. When you buy a car, you do not buy the very first car, on the very first lot, on the nearest street, do you? You do a little research. Choosing a dog is no different and this is the ONLY guide I have ever recommended.

How to Choose the Right Dog for You! By Marcel Cobs

A practical guide to guarantee you and your new best friend enjoy a great life together. If you have any interest at all in getting a dog… if you want to find out what type of dog you should get to fit you and your family… or you just want to figure out whether you should get a dog or not… then this book was written just for you. Comes with eBook and professional mp3 audio recordings included!

You can email me and I’ll provide you the link to get the book.

Once you’ve decided on the type of dog you are getting, I suggest you check your local shelter. There are thousands and thousands of dogs in need of good homes and yes, some are pure breed dogs. It’s a misconception that only “mutts” can be found in shelters (by the way….some of the best dogs I’ve owned or simply known, were mutts!)

The name of your local shelter can always be found in your Yellow Pages or online. Or you can simply go to The Humane Society of the United States website. Call your local shelter and ask them to notify you if a specific type or breed of dog comes in. Many are more than happy to keep you on a notify list, but some are not.

Second, I recommend you contact breed rescue organizations. You can Google breed rescue organizations by simply typing in the name of the breed and then the words “rescue organizations.” These organizations have dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find homes for purebred dogs and yes, many times THEY DO have puppies.

Finally, if you have not found what you are looking for at a shelter or through a rescue organization, I recommend you find a reputable breeder in your area. How will you know if they are reputable? Do some research and do a little homework. Also, try to visit more than one. Don’t just buy the first puppy you see. Here are some helpful hints:

General

Check the Better Business Bureau. It’s amazing to me how many people forget to do this! It’s free and it takes about two seconds. Do it!

Health

1. Do the puppies look clean and do they appear healthy? – Puppies should be bright eyed, active, playful and have an outward appearance of good health (good skin and coat, no unusual odor, clean ears, etc.)

2. Have the puppies been checked for worms? – The puppy should have been examined for worms and the breeder should present you with proof that it has received at least one vaccination before it goes home with you.

3. Have the parents been x-rayed for hip dysplasia? – This is a genetic disorder that many dogs are prone to. The breeder should know all about hereditary diseases and should breed healthy dogs with good temperaments.

Early Socialization

1. Are the puppies friendly? Do they seem happy to be around you? – Puppies should be outgoing, begging to be picked up, competing for attention, and love being held and played with. A very timid puppy might tug at your heartstrings but chances are it’s not in good health.

2. Insist on seeing the mother. Is she friendly and attractive? – At 6 weeks old, the mother should no longer be overprotective of her puppies. Insist on seeing the father. How is he with visitors? DO NOT buy puppies whose parents do not have good temperaments.

3. How old are the puppies? – Puppies should not be removed from their litters before 6 weeks. They need to be around their littermates for at least 6 weeks. Seven or eight weeks are even better. However, there is a limit. A puppy that is kept with its littermates past the age of 10 weeks may have become too dependent on its mother.

4. Has the breeder begun to socialize the puppies? – You can tell if a breeder has given each puppy some individual attention, care, and training. Don’t be shy. Ask the breeder about this! Ask him, “what have you done to begin socializing this puppy?”

The Breeder

1. Is the breeder experienced with the breed? – The breeder should be able to answer any questions about the breed and agree to help you with any problems. After all, this is why you are buying from a breeder and not a pet shop.

2. Has the breeder gone over both the good and bad characteristics of the breed? – Every breed has good points and bad. No breed can be considered “perfect.” The breeder should be honest with you. Some of the best breeders I know refuse to sell certain breeds to families with small children or owners who live in apartments, etc. It seems harsh and unfair, but actually they are doing you and their puppies a favor. Don’t fall for the hard sell. There is no reason you should be pressured in any way. If you feel like you are going through a hard sell, walk away.

3. Has the breeder suggested further obedience training? – Many responsible breeders make this a requirement for the sale. All dogs need training. Don’t be put off by this. This means they have the best interest of the dog in mind.

4. Does the breeder offer any kind of “starter kit”? – The breeder should give you some materials to take home. The “kit” will probably include some dog food, instructions on the care and feeding of your pup, a list of necessary supplies to have at home, dog care books, and some information on Veterinarians and dog training schools.

5. How about the paperwork? Is it all in order? – You should receive a contract (signed by both you and the seller), and a pedigree. You should not have to pay extra for the pedigree.

Your Part In All This

1. Are you willing to make a long term commitment to this puppy? – When you purchase a puppy, you are making a very serious, long term commitment to the care, training and love of this dog. This animal will live for a dozen years or more and it is your responsibility to do everything possible to keep it well and happy for its entire life.

Hope you’ve enjoyed “Poodles: A Look At The World’s Smartest Dog Breed.”

Akqays Wash Your Hands After Touching A Dirty Animal Secrets To Parrot Care: From Beginner To Expert

Secrets To Parrot Care: From Beginner To Expert

Parrots come in a variety of colors, which makes them very popular. These birds are very intelligent in many ways, which also attracts people to love them. Parrots make great pets because there are so many beautiful aspects to each bird. Parrot care is very important when trying to keep a healthy and happy bird.

In order to care for a parrot, you need to know what species you are dealing with. They all have similar diets, and they all need fruits and vegetables. Multi-Food Parrot Pellets and Parrot Seed Makes a great meal. If you want your parrot to live as long as possible, you need to be on top of its nutrition. Along with fresh food, they will also need plenty of clean water. This water should be added and changed to be of the best quality.

Parrots also grow well if they live in a clean environment. Most birds are considered “dirty” pets, but parrots are different because they prefer to live in a clean environment. When cleaning the parrot cage, it should not be watered. This is because the ammonia in the bleach can irritate the parrot. However, it may require less soap and water to keep it clean. You also want to make sure that there are no sharp or rusted parts in the cage, so that the bird does not accidentally injure itself.

When handling a parrot, it is important to have clean hands. Before handling it, you should always wash your hands to prevent germs and other harmful substances from reaching the bird. Do not hold a parrot close to your face, as some studies have shown that human saliva can harm the parrot.

When you find a cage for your bird, make sure that the space is big enough for him to spread his wings and take off. It is important for the parrot to have a comfortable environment to grow well. There should also be enough space in the cage for the parrot to enjoy safe toys.

If you want your parrot to live for 60 years, then you need to take good care of the animal. If you want to take care of a parrot for the first time, you should consider that it is a big commitment that takes a lot of time in your life. Your parrot should be treated as a member of your family and should be close to all members of your family if possible. If you want your pet to live a long life, it will need to spend a lot of time with your family and other people on a regular basis.

Now that we have talked about the natural time you need to take care of your new family member, we need to talk about how this bird should live. His nails and lips should be trimmed once a month. These branches grow continuously, so they need to be cut anew. When it is dirty, the bird can grab onto things in the cage. If you don’t want your parrot to be able to fly far, you need to clip its wings. When parrots grow in the wild, they like to bathe every day. Therefore, in this new place you will need to take it into your hands and wash your bird with fresh, clean water every day.

I hope you have learned a lot of new tricks here on how to have a very tall parrot. There are many aspects to consider, but all will be beneficial when you have a live bird in your home. Remember that this is not just a pet, but a new addition to your family, so treat it as you would a new baby in the family. Taking good care of these animals will leave you with a happy ending.

Virginia Woolf and ‘A Room of One’s Own’

Virginia Woolf published her long story, chapter 6, ‘A Room of One’s Own’, in 1929, based on a series of talks she had given the previous year at Girton and Newnham, two women’s colleges at Cambridge University. By then, a well-known and respected novelist, the topic she explored was ‘Women and Fiction’. Published just ten years after women’s emancipation in Britain, the book is considered a forerunner of the popular feminist literary work of the late 20th century.

Although she did not have a formal education, Virginia Woolf was a good reader. She uses the narrative approach of a fictional girl named Mary who is given any of three names, exploring the theme of ‘Women and Fiction’. He says that a woman needs a ‘room of her own’ (a closet) and money to live in (500 a year for Mary). What he clearly says, after carefully researching the history of the lives led by men and women in relation to each other in the past, and up to the date of his discussion, is that women are forbidden to express art and literature because of their wealth. , personal submission, and social status, not because of a lack of natural ability or skill.

The purpose of this article is to analyze, and to comment on the use of the author’s two groups starting from the middle, full of history, in the groups of the difference between men and women. Although two of the two categories, imagination, imagination, and fiction/reality, are explored in this article, Woolf’s awareness of the complexities of the apparent binary categories is much more extensive and will be analyzed in detail in the following paragraphs.

Although there does not seem to be any ‘opposite’ in nature, dualism seems to be ingrained in human language and thought. Binary opposites or polarizations are not always logical opposites but they are necessary for language units to have meaning and meaning. Following the Saussurean classification, he often believes that ‘binary opposition is one of the most important principles of language management’, while ‘combined contrasts’ are not always ‘contradictory’, in the true sense, he believes that it is necessary as a way of calling for the ‘complexity of events’ ‘. Many linguists believe that ‘binary discrimination is a child’s first logical activity’. Another strong influence on dualism in the West was the dualism of Descartes.

Binary thinking is also systematic. One of the two words is considered good and the other bad. Religious thought cannot exist without the division of guilt and innocence. Architects believe that the world is made up of men/women, roles, voices and ideas. For example, masculinity (phallus) is associated with control and femininity (nini) with passivity. Post-structuralists want to disrupt all binary concepts, not allowing one to be superior to the other, and provide examples of counter-terrorism that opposes itself and undermines its authority.

However, there is a growing consensus that these ‘oppositions’ are aspects of a deeper unity and ‘all so-called opposites such as mind/mind and spirit/matter are only ‘apparent’ binary opposites’ (Forceville, 1996). Woolf’s text, after using plurals in her text, concludes by acknowledging the ‘deep unity’ by acknowledging the qualities of ‘male’ and ‘female and male’ in human nature.

Enough has been said about the importance of binary thinking in the use of language until recently that it is not surprising that Woolf’s story contains many difficult situations between the obvious. Of course, the main concern when talking about ‘Women and Fiction’ is defining and defining the topic. Woolf shows that this is not a simple matter. In the course of his research by reading books written by men about women, he finds many ‘fictions’ such as the insistence that women are inferior in every way. Such opinions are not based on ‘reality’. Woolf shows the effects of discrimination and exclusion of women by asking the reader to imagine Shakespeare’s sister with similar gifts. Forbidden to fulfill any of her creative goals and desires, Judith Shakespeare commits suicide in the only way that ancient women were expected and allowed to do, to give birth.

Since Woolf’s stories are presented from her point of view and she does not pretend to be a scholar, she encourages her audience not to expect the final word. He uses a fictional device to illustrate his points based on material he finds in the British Museum Library. At Oxbridge college he visits, perhaps by invitation, figures like the Beadle, Friends and Scholars whom he casually mentions in Chapter 1 back at the end, emphasizing their importance to the story and its context. They were prevented from trespassing on their ‘space’, literally and figuratively. He was not allowed in the library there because of his sexuality. They meet and question whether it is a lie or the truth. They also confuse pre-war and post-war perceptions. He describes the trees and the river at Oxbridge as vague and left after sunset, becoming dignified and looking forward to the morning. He also talks about “laughter” and “hurt”. His ideas are clear and understandable mainly because of the use of these two identifiers.

The hypocritical theme continues with the contrast between the lunch served at a men’s boarding school at Oxbridge and the ‘poor’ dinner at a women’s college. Although gold and silver are said to be ‘buried’ within the 500-year-old mansions run by Kings and nobles, the women’s college built in the 1860s struggled to raise its first 30,000. He contrasts the security and prosperity of men against the poverty and insecurity of women throughout history which is reflected in all aspects of their lives.

In Chapter Two, he talks about the celebrations and confusions and pleasures and boredom associated with the roles of masculinity and femininity. When he talks about the freedom from fear and bitterness inherited from his aunt Mary who died, he can also distinguish that it is grief and tolerance (‘tolerance’) that he feels for a woman because of her free role. Reflecting on the culinary delights he had enjoyed the day before, he wonders why men drink wine while women drink water. He also distinguishes two types of anger that Prof von X had in his essay ‘The Mental, Moral and Physical Inferiority of the Female Sex’. His anger at women’s support was initially a complex feeling of disgust as it was transformed into an ‘easy and comfortable’ anger that he could use constructively.

By Chapter Three, he has not come out with facts, but only thoughts that destroy women (fiction). Now they are turning to historians (of course). He refers to the ‘History of England’ by Prof. Trevelyan. There he finds the degrading treatment of women and men during the Elizabethan era considered normal. Beating women was a regular practice. Marriages were pre-arranged to suit men. In contrast, the women depicted in the books had the dignity and dignity denied to the average pregnant woman. Women ‘burned like lamps in the works of all poets from the beginning.’ Although women in books, such as Antigone, Cleopatra, Lady Macbeth and Emma Bovary can be ‘brave or ugly’, ‘beautiful or ugly’, ‘very beautiful or very ugly’, the common woman was a person with nothing, hidden from view. . Many binaries in this chapter such as ‘women are more important’ than ‘they were meaningless’.

When we get to Chapter Four, we will encounter Lady Winchilsea’s problems with poetry, where Aphra Behn is doing her best with her play. This also supports Woolf’s insight into why and how women are denied freedom. Woolf first uses the word ‘incandescent’ to describe creative ideas, such as the quote from Lady Winchilsea. He needed his mind to ‘get rid of all obstacles and anger.’ But unfortunately it was ‘harassed and disturbed by hatred and grievances’. Aphra Behn was the first woman in England to make a living through her writing, although her life did not claim to be worthy of imitation. However, Behn paved the way for 18th century women novelists such as the Bronte sisters, Jane Austen and George Eliot. In her descriptions and early 19th-century literature, Woolf speaks of their virtues in sarcastic terms such as swift rather than careless, descriptive without being precious.

In Chapter 5 Woolf introduces a female storyteller she calls Mary Carmichael. This is an imaginary picture that is chosen to show what is lost in writing from the point of defense and opposition. Woolf appreciates the fact that Carmichael no longer identifies as a woman in her contemplative writings. There are writings like ‘the goodness of heaven’ and ‘the destruction of hell’, compared to writings that are ‘deep, deep and bright’ and others, ‘lazy and routine’. She advises contemporary women writers to ‘lighten your life with its depth and depth, with its vanity and generosity’. Although Carmichael’s fiction may have been ‘drawn by a publisher in a decade’, Woolf is confident that his successors in ‘a century’ would have achieved their full and glorious potential.

In Chapter Six Woolf describes a man and a woman approaching each other from opposite sides of the street. The setting is a London street seen by the author from his apartment window. He took a taxi and was driven away. For Woolf this is a sign of binaries coming together. The problems they had in the past two days have subsided, and now they are realizing ’emotional unity’. As Coleridge said, idealism is androgynous. A true producer is ‘visible’ and ‘undivided’. Sex stands in the way of creativity. He says that ‘it is fatal for anyone who writes to think about his sexuality.’ Finally he comes to the conclusion that good writing comes from the marriage of opposites. Gender, masculinity/femininity is no longer important. True, creative and lasting fiction comes from imaginations that are free from material and can meet reality.

Virginia Woolf critically examined many binary concepts including masculinity/femininity, imagination/emotion, and fact/fiction in her long essay on feminism and fiction. This brief analysis shows that he came to the conclusion that it is the unsettled mind, which is ‘naturally formed, transparent and indivisible’ that can arrive at ‘truth’ by ‘accumulating many mistakes’. His understanding of the volatility and complexities of business philosophy presented in this book marks him as one of the pioneering, innovative thinkers of his time.

Halloween has become an all-time favorite holiday for everyone. It’s not just for kids anymore. Families go trick or treating together and parents no longer stay behind. Consider dressing the whole family in panda bear costumes. It’s a fun and unique idea for the family on Halloween.

Halloween is an exciting day for many children. But there are some kids, especially teenagers, and even older kids, who find Halloween costumes too scary. Costumes that are gory or spooky can make some children feel overwhelmed or even scared. Once that happens, there goes all the fun and excitement. All the planning that goes into dressing up, getting candy and staying up late to count and sort, can quickly turn into tears and refusal to participate, in traditional Halloween activities.

Panda Bears are seen as an interesting animal in cartoons, pictures, and by children. Panda bears are found in the mountain ranges in central China. They used to live in low plain areas, but agriculture, forestry and other things that are happening have reduced the food they eat and the space they need. Giant pandas are indeed on the endangered list.

The rest of their bodies are black like their legs, ears, and chest and the rest of their back. They also have dark rings around their eyes. Pandas are big fans of eating bamboo. Many photos capture them sitting in a tree eating on bamboo.

If you feel bored with the usual variety of ghosts, ghouls, pirates, witches, vampires and such that are offered as traditional Halloween costumes, you may want to consider a Panda Bear costume for Halloween this year. It’s an original idea and you can be sure that you won’t be one of the sea of ubiquitous characters at any dress-up events you attend.
